WSU Horn Camp

June 20-25, 2021

Grades 7-12

WSU Online Horn Camp offers an exciting week of virtual lessons, warm-ups, and more for students studying horn, grades 7 through 12 (students entering grades 7-12 and students graduating high school are eligible). Students enrolling should have a minimum of one year of playing experience on the horn.

Camp Description:
Horn players will work with Dr. Martin D. King (horn faculty, WSU) and other outstanding Washington State University faculty members to improve their musical skills. This camp focuses on building playing fundamentals through private lessons, master classes, lectures and seminars, and performance opportunities. Students may also have the opportunity to explore other areas of interest such as developing a warm-up, preparing for auditions, minimizing performance anxiety, and career planning.

This year’s online camp format will allow for social time, with regular evening meetings for campers to meet up and share their experiences in an informal setting.
