The Festival of Contemporary Artists in Music celebrates the music of our time. The festival highlights the work of WSU student and faculty composers and performers alongside visiting composers, performers, and scholars. This festival is a chance to celebrate the diversity found in today\u2019s music and its people. It is designed to allow everyone\u2019s voice to shine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 1989 by Charles Argersinger, the festival is currently under the direction of Sophia Tegart. The FOCAM committee includes Jihyun Kim, Sarah Miller, C\u00e9sar Haas, and Blaine Ross.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please join us in February 2026 to celebrate new music by submitting to our call for proposals! Below you will find information on each call as well as the link to the proposal submission form. The proposal submission form will open by September 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Submission Deadline: October 1 at 11:59 pm (Pacific) Accepted participants will be notified by November 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration will open by November 1. Accepted participants must register by December 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Festival Schedule will be available by January 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
