NOW HIRING Music Production Crew in the Technical Assistant I position for 2019-2020.

August 19, 2019 – May 8, 2020    Rate of Pay: $12/hour
WORK STUDY is REQUIRED   (work study status will be confirmed after the application is received)

Must be available to work: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings 6:30pm-10pm, Friday afternoon 2-5:30pm

Job Description
Assist in running performances for the School of Music in Bryan Hall Theatre and Kimbrough Concert Hall.
Duties include:
– running lights
– running sound
– stage crew
– ushering
Assist with stage setup (move chairs, stands, pianos, platforms) for performances and rehearsals.

Reliable, dependable, motivated, prompt and healthy students who like to listen to music are perfect for this job.  Some technical theatre experience is useful, but not required. Some lifting is required.

Standard performance times are Tues, Thurs and Fri evenings 6:30pm-10pm and Friday afternoons 2:00pm-5:30pm. Anyone with repeating commitments during performance times need not apply. Other rehearsal and set up calls vary by week.

The School of Music produces approximately 150 concerts per academic year.
These events are supported by a crew of
–   2 full time WSU staff
–   3 music graduate teaching assistants
–   8 work-study students

Performances are scheduled in 2 venues:
Kimbrough Concert Hall and Bryan Hall Theatre.
