Wind Bands Festival

During February 23–24, 2024, we welcomed Mark Lane as our guest clinician for the annual WSU Wind Band Festival. Mark is an emeritus professor at Central Washington University, where he was associate director of bands. As a pillar of music education in the Pacific Northwest, he provided clinics to numerous groups that visited us from across Washington. They included Walla Walla High School and Lewis and Clark High School, among others. The Wind Band Festival was also highlighted with performances by the WSU Faculty “Equinox” Brass Quintet and the WSU Symphonic Wind Band, featuring Chris Wilson on marimba, performing at the event’s gala performances. We thank all the high schools who attended and performed at the WSU Wind Band Festival this spring.
