Greetings to all you tuba and euphonium students! Auditions for the 2025 All-Northwest ensembles will be here before you know it. Please join WSU tuba and euphonium professor Chris Dickey for a free workshop to work on this year’s required audition materials (Set A audition materials). After a short introduction, Chris Dickey will assign breakout rooms to focus on each instrument’s required repertoire.
How should I prepare this audition music? What would the evaluators be listening for in an audition?
Topics will include tone production, breathing, articulation, phrasing, rhythm, and clarity. This session will be delivered in a workshop format and will not require students to perform in order to participate.
All participants must register!
The tuba and euphonium workshop registration deadline is Friday, September 13 at 5:00 PM. After the deadline passes, workshop participants will receive an email with Zoom information and other event details.
