Bachelor of Music in Music Business

About the Program

Today’s music business job market offers various opportunities for people who know the business as well as the music world. In WSU’s Music Business (B.M.) program, students will learn core business concepts such as copyright and publishing, music video editing/producing, music blogging, concert promotion, artist development, and many more. While studying at WSU, students will have opportunities to work at the WSU recording studio, promote WSU social media platforms, coordinate various music events, and apply for numerous internship programs.

Program Goals

Prepare students to learn important business concepts (marketing, publishing, copyrights, etc.) and incorporate this knowledge into the music industry.

Offer students various internship opportunities at recording studios, artist management groups, concert promotion companies, booking agencies, and music publishing companies.

Make students job ready as competitive candidates for the music industry job markets by the time they graduate.
