We are excited to see you this Fall 2023! Please be aware of the following time commitment(s) for each of these ensembles!

Symphonic Wind Ensemble (MUS 437 or 537)

Monday and Wednesday, 3:10-5:00pm

Symphony Orchestra (MUS 434 or 534)

Tuesday and Thursday, 3:10-5:00pm

  • All Auditions will occur during Week 1 of Classes. (Signup-links will be provided later)
  • All Winds and Percussion will audition during M/W slots between 3:10-5:00pm.
  • All Strings will audition during T/Th slots between 3:10-5:00pm.

You can find your Audition PDF Packet here. Look for your instrument. Prepare for the entire
packet unless told to do otherwise:

Note for all strings:While the entire Symphony No. 2 by Tchaikovsky is “fair game”, places to concentrate on for ALL Strings parts (Violin, Viola, Low Strings [Cello and Bass]) include:

  • First Movement: Beginning to Letter C
  • Second Movement: All
  • Fourth Movement: The Allegro Vivo on through the Presto
