WMEA All-State Auditions Virtual Workshop for Flute & Piccolo

Join Dr. Sophia Tegart for a workshop that will walk you through each WMEA All-State Flute and Piccolo audition pieces! We will discuss the rhythm and tempo traps to lookout for in each piece, how to practice those hard runs, where to breathe in some of those long passages, and special fingerings that may make your life easier. We’ll also discuss phrasing and style and how those things can help you jump to your next level of playing! Students will not need to perform in this workshop. The purpose of this workshop is to talk through strategies and tips for your audition materials! Questions are welcome!
