WSU Percussion Day

WSU Percussion Day
The Washington State University School of music is pleased to inaugurate a percussion day designed to assist high school and middle school band programs in providing an opportunity for community, learning, and musical growth in a non-competitive, positive environment. Much like our Concert Band and Orchestra Festivals, this day of percussion is meant to excite, encourage and education students. We will be offering the opportunity to perform for fellow secondary-aged students and to receive feedback ahead of your busy concert season.

Festival Activities
The event will include:

Performance of percussion ensemble, percussion solo, or small chamber pieces followed by coaching from Assistant Professor of Percussion, Dr. Christopher Wilson
Pizza lunch provided for directors and students
A performance by the WSU Percussion Ensemble and Cougar Marching Band Drumline (3:00pm)

Date and Time
The WSU Percussion Day will be held on Saturday, April 8th in Kimbrough Concert Hall. Performances and clinics will begin around 9:00am and continue throughout the day. The event should conclude by 4:30pm.
